Review: Martha's Vineyard

This week I had the pleasure of celebrating a friend's birthday at Martha's Vineyard in Brunswick Moviebowl. This is such a perfect venue as there is so much to do. With Bananas Adventure Park, 10 Pin Bowling, a Cinema and countless amusements, it's easy to lose a few hours here. We started our evening with a 3 course meal in Martha's Vineyard.

Once you enter the restaurant, you quickly forget about the loud amusements as you are welcomed into a spacious and sophisticated setting, with a very relaxing ambience. You instantly feel like you are dining out in an exclusive restaurant in the city. This is aided by the professionalism of the staff and the smart casual dress code in place.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by very friendly staff who permitted us to decorate around the table, and also offered assistance to do so. The service throughout the night continued to be quick and friendly.

As we had chosen to take advantage of the Banquet 'n' Bowl deal, we were given a limited version of the full A La Carte menu. Although limited, it certainly has something for everyone. It offers a variety of starters based on the most popular dishes, alongside a wide range of mains. It includes everything from chicken based dishes to steak and duck, and also vegetarian and coeliac options.

The presentation of our food was perfect, and made it all look so appetizing. The Cheese Garlic Bread was served with a Soured Cream & Chive dip, which really complimented the garlic, and the portions, although appear to be large, were the right size to begin the meal.

One of several chicken dishes on offer is the Chorizo Chicken. With several slices of chicken breast dusted with cajun spices served with Spanish style potatoes, tobacco onions and chorizo sauce, there is quite a few flavours here. Although all worked seamlessly together, the Spanish style potatoes were slightly too sweet for my own personal taste.

To end the gorgeous meal, we enjoyed Martha's Moviebowl Sundae. This dessert of vanilla ice cream, honeycomb, marshmallows and malteasers topped with toffee sauce is enough reason on its own to visit Martha's Vineyard. It pretty much speaks for itself.

As said, we took advantage of the Banquet 'n' Bowl deal. That means we enjoyed all of this with a game of bowls for only £18.95 each. This deal lasts 7 days a week, so you can get down there any night of the week. Or if bowling is not your thing, you can take up the Movie Meal Deal offer...

The options are endless at Brunswick Moviebowl.
