Review: Legenderry Warehouse

Dashing inside from one of our many heavy rain showers we were instantly transported to a hidden gem that I can only describe as Derry’s very own Central Perk café. Complete with comfy seats, authentic décor, the cutest flowers in little glass jars and a team of wonderful baristas.

The baristas here are clearly very well trained and portray the love they have for their job in the service they deliver, our food was served to our table by our chef which was for us, the highest honour. It shows the pride he had in not only the dishes created but also the local produce that was used.

We had a few dishes to share and everything was exceptionally better than what we were expecting, we had the wings and garlic toast and some other little nibbles and tea and coffee.  Having a look around the atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable, I noticed there was a business meeting being conducted beside us over a lovely red pot of Sukai tea and in the corner were some foreign exchange students trying some local Northern Irish produce.

In total we spent less than £20 which was more than affordable for a bunch of students, we couldn't even finish all the food that we had been served, the menu offered is very affordable and has something for everyone’s taste coupled with some aromatic coffee and you have yourself a wonderful tantalising afternoon to just be with friends and enjoy the moment.

Soaking up the atmosphere and the soulful acoustic music by Jason Flynn we learned that not only does the Legendary Warehouse have afternoon acoustic sessions from time to time, they also have Jazz brunch and soul supper.

After spending only a few hours here I will definitely be back and it seems we were not the only people to thoroughly enjoy our time there. Legendary has scored 4.5/5 stars on their very popular Facebook page and reviews on trip advisor also reflect this.

We hope to fully experience one of the very popular evening events soon although the space is not very large It will be interesting to see how the staff utilise the area to maximise the experience for customers. We will be kicking back and relaxing to live music with one of the many hand selected beers and wines on offer.

Student rating: ££ Affordable, healthy local produce
